The Honor of a Knight: Part 1 Sunlight poured over the broad practice yard of the barracks of the Order of Eternal Life, harsh unforgiving sunlight that seared the ground and made even the slightest whisper of wind kick up a storm of dust that was worse than the sun alone could have been. Perhaps eighty people stood there, standing in four files as a small group of knights slowly went from one to the next, taking five minutes here, then dealing with eight or ten in the same span moments later. Shadow in the Marsh A lone duck burst from cover, honking in distress as it rose into the dim morning sky, fleeing the two figures below as they progressed through the marsh from one hummock to the next. One was huge, wielding in it's right hand a dual-headed axe nearly the size of a tall man, it's reddish-orange skin bare but for thick armor guarding it's left arm and shoulder, and it's legs, each motion filled with power barely held in check as malice emanates from it's hate-filled glare. Computer voices didn't have the kind of timbre and tones of a real voice, thought Luna as she tapped the flashing control on her panel to belay the imminant howling the automatic proximity beacon was about to let forth into the cockpit and crew quarters of her tiny spacecraft. "You know, that habit you have of snapping the prox off every time it goes off is gonna trip you up one day when you forget to reset it." This voice, just as much a ghost in the machine as the previous one, was quite human, with a slight, just barely discernable echo. "Just like thatStarsong: Luna Part 1
